- What is panning?
 - By focusing on a moving subject such as a train, bike, car, or person, and blurring the background in the direction of the movement, you can make the subject stand out with a dynamic, speedy feel.

Set to M mode
M mode is a function that allows you to manually set the shutter speed and F-stop.

Shutter speed is important for panning
Shutter speed is important for capturing a clear shot or blurring the background or subject.
- Point
 - Fast shutter speed → less blurry
Slow shutter speed → more blurry

The images below were taken with different shutter speeds.
I think you can see that the degree of blurring of the train is different.

SS1/4

SS1/15

SS1/125

SS1/1000
Set the shutter speed to 1/20-1/125
Change the shutter speed depending on the speed of the moving subject.
There are two points to consider when deciding the number:
- Point 1
 - If the subject moves slowly, use a slower shutter speed.
If the subject moves quickly, use a faster shutter speed.
- Point 2
 - ・If the number is low, the background will have a stronger sense of speed, but blur will be more noticeable.
・If the number is high, there will be less blur, but the background will have a weaker sense of speed.

points for successful photography
I would like to introduce three techniques to improve the quality of your photography.
Continue shooting continuously
Keep pressing the shutter from just before the subject passes in front of you until they have passed.
The key here is to move the camera in accordance with the subject's speed.
Shooting with a monopod
If you use a monopod, you can rotate it sideways to prevent vertical shaking, allowing you to take clearer panning shots.
summary

The above is how to take beautiful panning shots.
Please adjust the values to find the best results based on what we have just explained.
